Evaluation of Safety Target Level of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System in Fusion Airspace

Considering the safety issues of the UAV system and manned aircraft performing different tasks in the fusion airspace, combined with the UAV system ground impact model, and using the Monte-Carlo simulation algorithm, a method for evaluating the safety target level of the UAV system is proposed. Firstly, the advantages of the Monte-Carlo simulation algorithm are introduced, and then the factors that affect the ground impact event of the UAV system in the fusion airspace are analyzed, and the uncertainty of each influencing factor is described by the parameter distribution. Two typical UAV, Firebird and Typhoon H, are selected for different operating environments in low risk area, general risk areas and high risk areas, and the Monte-Carlo simulation algorithm is used for safety assessment. The simulation shows that the safety target levels of different types of UAV systems are quite different in different operating environments, which provides a feasible idea for the operational risk assessment of UAV systems entering the fusion airspace and improving the safety level of UAV.
