Implementation of E-mobility and renewable energies in existing neighbourhoods with reference to legal requirements

As of today, the existing building infrastructure, mainly in older neighbourhoods (>3 years), is not designed for the provision of e-mobility. Load peaks at certain peak times put a strain on the power grid, its quality and thus the security of supply of the resource electricity, the population. Therefore, the question rightly arises: is a blackout pre-programmed by electrification? In addition, the increasing number of renewable energy components in the infrastructure, for example solar plants, photovoltaic plants, wind turbines and battery storage systems, puts a strain on the electricity grid. This statement may sound controversial in the first place, but the “small” generators are primarily distributed in the low-voltage level and thus cannot be controlled by the energy supplier; moreover, as the electricity flows bidirectionally, the power lines are heavily stressed. The “new” grid is a complex network of prosumers: Consumers who generate their own electricity on site and consume it as needed or feed it back into the grid even when there is a surplus. The issue of the availability of renewable energies have also not be overlooked in the whole complex.
