Powerline Interference’s Filtering Influence on Ventricular Late Potentials

Main goal is research of powerline interference harmonics’ filtering on ventricular late potentials’ (VLPs) parameters in terms of their evaluation in electrocardiosignal (ECS). To achieve the goal following tasks are solved in this study: - Analysis of ECS registered by Frank orthogonal leads using Simson’s method to evaluate VLPs. In this analysis powerline interference’s main harmonic (50 Hz) is filtered; - Similar analysis but in this analysis other harmonics 100÷400 Hz are filtered as well; - Comparison analysis of results for two cases of powerline interference’s filtering from the point of VLPs. 179 ECS records from 60 patients with myocardial infarction are analyzed. In 19 ECS VLPs are registered both in case of powerline interference’s filtering at 50 Hz and in case of its harmonics’ filtering. In 6 ECS change of decision about VLPs is registered. Originality: powerline interference’s harmonics filtering can impact on ECS and, as a consequence, on parameters of VLPs evaluation.
