An implementation of ECG measuring system

This paper proposes a solution for bipolar measurement of ECG (electrocardiogram) signals between two skin electrodes placed on the patient's chest. It provides an introduction to the origin of biosignals in the human body, as well as the heart's conduction system and electrical activity. ECG signal formation and characteristics are explained briefly. The paper covers elementary building blocks of a typical system for biosignal measurements, focusing on the design of biosignal amplifiers. A practical solution is designed using discreet components connected on a breadboard for analog processing and an Arduino Uno board for signal acquisition. A Python script was developed to additionally filter, save and visualize obtained data. Results are presented for two examinees in order to verify the solution.
