Study of the relationship between thermal emitter materials and emission spectra

Thermophotovoltaic technology is a suitable technology for long-term power supply of detectors. However, its power generation efficiency depends on the material and thickness of the thermal emitter, so it is important to study the influence of the material selection and size of the thermal emitter on the power generation efficiency. In this paper, the relationship between the thermal emissivity and the refractive index and thickness of the thermal emitter material is calculated with reference to the calculation of the emissivity of infrared coatings on metal surfaces, and verified experimentally. This work provides a calculation formula for the conversion of emissivity and material properties of thermal emitters.
