Design of Control Strategy for Battery-Supercapacitor Hybrid Storage System

To ensure steady power to the load, most of the renewable systems need a storage device. The Lead acid battery is most prevalently used. Batteries can go through many irregularities due to the unpredictable nature of energy sources, resulting in a shorter lifespan. To overcome the irregularities, battery and supercapacitor can be used as hybrid device. To extract the capacity of this combination, a power sharing method is necessary. Matlab simulation will be used to investigate and build a simple technique for battery and supercapacitor hybrid storage (BSHS) system. Battery is utilised to gradual-rising and supercapacitor employed to handle quick-rising peak rates in this paper.
