Implementation of AlexNet for Classification of Knee Osteoarthritis

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is one of the common musculoskeletal disorders and is also called degenerative disease. Accurately diagnosing and treating will slow down the progression of this illness. Knee x-rays and MRI Images are the essential criteria for osteoarthritis. Radiologists and clinicians diagnose the KOA by their experience. However, a huge quantity of x-rays and minor variations between stages place significant pressure on clinicians, causing them to make errors in judgment. Deep learning technology, often known as artificial intelligence (AI), has become a frequent solution to medical problems due to its rapid progress in recent years. An aim of this work is to examine the AlexNet model to classify the severity of KOA and analyzing the performance of the model for this task and comparing this with various models.
