Simplified Radius-directed Linear Kalman Filter for Blind Polarization Demultiplexing

To solve the problem of communication interruption caused by the ultra-fast rotation of the state of polarization (RSOP) in the OPGW cable which caused by lightning strikes. a simplified radius-directed linear Kalman filter for blind polarization demultiplexing was proposed. The effective of different lightning current induced RSOP for blind polarization demultiplexing method was studied. The results showed that the proposed method can effectively deal with the rotation of the state of polarization caused by lightning strikes.
