Research and application of moisture control of recycled tobacco based on fuzzy-PID control

To improve the control performance of recycled tobacco's moisture, this paper introduces a closed-loop controller, and proposes an intelligent control method based on adaptive fuzzy-PID, aiming at the problem of poor performance and poor adaptability of the traditional PID control for the changes and disturbance of working environment, or large pure time-delay system. The controller is achieved through the Siemens PLC. The final results shows that the standard deviation (SD) of moisture of recycled tobacco decreased from 0.475 to 0.131 after using the fuzzy PID control method, and the control performance of recycled was significantly improved.
