Modelling the Probability of Intense Rainfall Events

Knowledge of adverse phenomena, especially in the increasingly variable and volatile climate, enables better understanding of risks, their management and minimization of adverse impacts. This implies the availability of sufficiently reliable mathematical models that can result in accurate predictions of the evolution of the crisis natural phenomenon in question. This report examines and analyzes the frequency of intense precipitation for the territory of Shumen district through orthogonal Chebyshev polynomials.
