Study on Effcet of Computer Assisted Instruction Via Analysis of Heart Rate Variation

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the heart rate variability of the students in computer-assisted instruction (CAI) and traditional teaching. We collected the students’ electrocardiography (ECG) and then analyzed it. The heart rate and low/high-frequency ratio were lower than at the traditional teaching through data analysis. We divided the students into the experimental and control group. The experimental group proceeded CAI, the control group proceed with traditional teaching, and then we conducted the test after teaching. We measured student ECG signal acquisition heartbeat signal and low/high frequency and effectiveness of learning during the test. The result shows the degree of the absorption of students learning and learning efficiency. The students have lower heart rates under computer-assisted instruction through the data. This represents less strain on their learning process. The lower ratio of low/high frequency represents lower stress for the students in the learning process. Generally, higher academic achievement is observed with better absorption of students. Higher training achievement implies efficient learning. With the ECG of the students, the stress of the student is estimated. If students have much stress, proper rest, such as sports, music, walking, and so on is needed and early detection is necessary for early treatment. If that is found too late, long-term stress causes the mental disease, which needs doctors’ help and appropriate medicines.
