Abstract:
Garbage is one of the complex problems and is very difficult to eliminate. Waste is a problem both in developed countries and developing countries such as Indonesia. In Indonesia itself, the problem of waste often arises because of the inadequacy of waste collection sites such as TPA (Final Shelter) and TPS (Temporary Shelter). This study discusses how to visualize TPS distribution in the DKI Jakarta area using GIS (Geographic Information System) technology to identify which areas have inadequate TPS facilities using the proximity analysis method, namely the buffering process to determine the radius of an area. In this paper, a multi-ring buffer will implement with TPS data to see the coverage area of TPS. TPA estimates the distance a garbage truck travels for 1 hour to reach the TPA area, then packaged in a web-based application called JakartaBersih. From the research conducted by the author, it can be concluded that in several districts in DKI Jakarta, such as Kalideres, Kembangan, Cilandak, Cipayung, there is still a lack of TPS facilities or TPS has not been registered.
