Design and Implementation of Pulse Oximeter Synchronized with Respirators

In clinical interventions, monitoring of oxygen saturation (OS) in the body is critical in the detection and follow-up of diseases such as hypoxia and asthma. Body temperature measurement will eliminate invasive procedures such as arterial blood gas applied to patients in hypoxia. In this study, a new generation device that can transmit wireless data by measuring blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse and body temperature data has been designed. The developed pulse oximeter (PO) device successfully transferred body temperature, SpO2 and heart rate data to an RPi 4 and the wireless incoming data was successfully displayed on the GUI. As a result, the measurement data of the developed PO device were compared with CE certified PO devices. It has been seen that the new generation PO device data is more reliable and healthier. The data transferred to the RPi Thonny Python interface will provide feedback for respirators and will be able to work synchronously with devices such as ventilators and OS devices.
