Wireless Power Transfer System with Four Degrees of Freedom

This paper presents the mutual effect between the transmitting and receiving coils in the wireless power transfer system with four degrees of freedom for household and industrial applications. An additional passive resonant circuit is used as a matching element and its influence on the efficiency and parameters of the system is studied. The purpose of this additional passive resonant circuit is to increase the distance of energy transfer and improve the matching properties of different loads and different position of transmitting and receiving coils, according to the four degrees of freedom. A model of wireless power transfer system is created. An analysis of electromagnetic processes is performed after. The results of computer simulations and analysis of electrical and phase ratios and their influence on magnetic coupling coefficient are presented. On this basis the areas of application of this type of contactless power transfer systems are definite.
