An Improved Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for Assembly Line Balancing Problem of Electric Vehicle

This paper proposes an improved artificial bee colony algorithm (IABC) for the electric vehicle assembly line balance problems (ALBP), where the type-II of the problem is considered. Firstly, the encoding/decoding rules of ABC for ALBP are developed. Secondly, improving strategies are proposed for solving the ALBP. Finally, the performance of the proposed IABC is verified by solving 10 real-life instances. Experimental results show that the IABC has better performance than the compared ones.
