A high-performance RF bandpass prefilter

An improved RF bandpass prefilter is proposed which improves the in-band flatness with neat circuit architecture. The result of simulation by Spectre4.4.5 with 0.18 /spl mu/m CMOS technology library indicates that the ripple from 2.42 GHz to 2.46 GHz is less than /spl plusmn/ 0.2 dB when central frequency is tuned at 2.44 GHz with 3 dB bandwidth 80 MHz. The prefilter has been designed to have 27.8 dB voltage gain, -33 dBm IIP3, and 10.5 dB NF with power dissipation 28 mW.
