A Wideband High-gain Antenna Based on Magnetoelectric Dipole

In this paper, a wideband high-gain antenna based on the magnetoelectric dipole is proposed. The antenna is composed of a triangular wave-shaped horizontal electric dipole and a close vertical magnetic dipole. The surrounding and bottom surfaces are equipped with reflectors to increase the gain. The feeding structure adopts $\Gamma$-shape feeding. A fixed bracket is used to improve the reliability of the antenna at the same time. The innovative structure replaces the traditional horizontal structure of the electric dipole to change the surface current distribution so that a new high-frequency resonance appears in the antenna. The antenna grounded on the above structure has a relative impedance bandwidth of $81.4 \% \left(S_{11} \leqslant-10 \mathrm{dB}\right)$ and the frequency range is $2.04 \mathrm{GHz} \sim 4.84 \mathrm{GHz}$. A steady gain of 9.23 dBi $\sim$ 10.96 dBi is obtained in the entire operating frequency band. The size of antenna is $102 \mathrm{mm}^{\ast} 102 \mathrm{mm}^{\ast} 27 \mathrm{mm}$.
