Four-Port MIMO Array With Square Patch And Dual Filters for IoT-Wideband Applications

This paper reports compact 4×4 MIMO (multi-input-multi-output ports) antenna configuration for Bluetooth, ISM, UWB and X-band with impedance bandwidth of 1.84GHz-11.33GHz. The proposed MIMO antenna also mitigates WiMAX and WLAN interfering bands. The single antenna element consist of square patch with partial rectangular ground plane which is embedded with t-stub and etched rectangular slit. The four antenna elements are placed on planar geometry with each element in orthogonal fashion adjacent to each other. A decoupling structure is used in the plane were ground is printed providing good isolation between them. The compact dimension of the antenna array is ${33\text{mm}\times 33\text{mm}.}$ The antenna is evaluated in terms of gain, radiation pattern and diversity performance.
