Infrastructure Edge Computing Networks

Building on our foundation of understanding of network technology from previous chapters, in this chapter we will explore more elements of network architecture and operation related specifically to infrastructure edge computing. One of the most important aspects described in this chapter are the network topologies which can be used to connect multiple infrastructure edge data centre facilities to one another within the same and adjacent areas. The choice of network topology is crucial for the infrastructure edge computing network as it significantly alters the ability of the network to scale to additional facilities over time, as well as playing a key role in determining its overall coverage area.
