Comparing Plasma Source Capabilities for Singly Charging Particles of Varying Size

This work's aim is to evaluate the properties of different low temperature atmospheric pressure (LTAP) plasma sources, utilising both electrical and optical diagnostics techniques. By understanding the properties of these plasmas under a range of conditions, they can be tailored for specific engineering applications. In this case we are examining the plasmas ability to singly ionise, without fragmentation, agglomeration or oligomer formation, nanoparticles and/or small analyte chemistry.
