Design of Transimpedance Amplifier using CMOS 180nm Technology

This paper presents design of an Transimpedance Amplifier using 180nm technology. Post schematic design, simulation results are obtained through Cadence Virtuoso tool. In this particular design authors have used power supply of 1.8 volts, input voltage set to 1.5 volts and frequency range lies in between 1Hz to 10GHz. Various parameters are obtained using 20µA bias current, different aspect ratio W/L and the trade-off among parameters such as open loop gain, Phase margin are measured. The gain of this Transimpedance amplifier is obtained as 75dB. The simulation results are reported in this paper. This design has been carried out in Cadence design tools lab.
