Wireless recharging of EVs while driving and the effectiveness of novel storage battery

In this paper, a novel storage battery is proposed for wireless charging of a running electric vehicle (EV). The effectiveness of the storage battery in wireless power supply is discussed. The novel storage battery is a lithium (Li) ion battery using tungsten oxide
$(\text{WO}_{3})$
as the anode. In the novel storage battery, Li-ions adhere to the surface of the anode because the material of the electrode is
$\text{WO}_{3}$
. The size of the novel storage battery is 95 mm in length, 88 mm width, and 5 mm in thickness, and its current capacity is 1 Ah. Regeneration experiments were conducted using this battery, and the power density and energy density of the storage battery were measured. In addition, a recharging experiment was conducted, using a wireless power supply device. In researching the experiment, we aimed to recharge the storage battery from 8 V to 12 V. The wireless power supply device used a remote system, and the resonance frequency was calculated by fast Fourier transform (FFT) to be 125 kHz. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that this storage battery is capable of high-speed recharging and large capacity.
