Prediction of Disturbance Current from Railway Traction Inverters at Train's Maximum Design Speed

Railway traction inverters are subjected to running tests to check current disturbances to signaling devices. The traction system has sometimes to run at a speed lower than its maximum design speed due to the restriction of the running track. This paper describes a method for predicting the disturbance current in the DC input side of the traction system at the maximum design speed based on the results of running tests.
