DWT based blind and robust watermarking technique using ABCD map for medical image

The purpose of this paper is to present an imperceptible and robust blind watermarking technique with high embedding capacity for medical images based on 5/3 integer discrete wavelet transform. Watermark embedding locations are determined using a new feature named ABCD map and Fibonacci numbers of the transformed cover medical image. The Arnold transform is used to scramble watermark image in order to provide extra security. The experiment results approve that the proposed medical image watermarking approach not only meet the need of imperceptibility in the medical field, but also has better or similar robustness as compared with other related watermarking approachs
