A Novel Car-following Model by Considering Driver's Behaviors with Fuzzy Inference Method

The traditional traffic flow modeling lacks a reasonable analysis of the driver's psychological expectation. Combined with fuzzy inference, this paper constructs a car following model to adapt to the driver's psychological expectation and safety driving braking strategy. The empirical intuition method is adopted to divide the input and output variables into fuzzy interval through the triangular membership function. Then the inference rules of the divided fuzzy interval is carried out through Mamdani model. After the fuzzy rules are obtained. The center of gravity method is used to defuzzify the fuzzy system. Finally, the security of the defuzzification results is analyzed. The simulation results show that the model is safe and available in driving scenarios.
