Introduction to using mmWave Radar development board AWR1843

The expanding demands on automotive technology, particularly in terms of traffic security, are creating assumptions for the application of unique technologies that were originally developed for military or aviation use. This area is developed of a high research level mainly as know-how of corporate sector. As result, it is necessary to bring and disseminate information about the radar system research and to facilitate development in a wide scientific community, mainly in the communities where the issues of radars are in the beginning. Furthermore, the article establishes a foundation for the initial stages of research in this field. The purpose of this paper is to summarize the information gathered for use with the AWR1843 radar development board. The content of the article has the role of providing information for the facilitation of practical first steps in radar technology. The high complexity of the board increases the meaning of the article.
