Acoustooptic Diffraction of Bessel Light Beams of Half-Integer Order in Anisotropic Crystals

The peculiarities of acoustooptic (AO) diffraction with the participation of a Bessel light beam (BLB) of a half-integer order and a Bessel acoustic beam (BAB) of an integer order in acoustically transverse isotropic crystals are investigated. AO diffraction is considered on a vertically-polarized (SV-) acoustic transverse wave, which has a more complex polarization structure compared to a horizontally-polarized (SH-) wave. The use of SV-wave leads also to modulation of diagonal components of a tensor of dielectric permittivity that allows involving them in the process of AO interaction and realizing isotropic diffraction. The efficiency of diffraction for the AO process with participation of 3/2th order BLB and first order BAB. It is shown that the efficiency of this process in conditions of phase and spatial synchronism remains rather high that allows using AO diffraction to control Bessel light beams of a half-integer order.
