Study on partial discharge pulse propagation characteristics and clustering analysis of cable

At present, a lot of research work on anti-interference and pattern recognition of partial discharge has been carried out at home and abroad, among which the research focus is on how to construct local discharge modes that can reflect different discharge types. For this reason, the propagation attenuation characteristics of steeply rising edge pulse in cable are firstly studied. On the basis of previous studies, the improved equivalent time-frequency feature extraction method is used to classify pulses, which provides a practical pulse classification technology for the wide-band detection based on local amplifier pulses. Through the laboratory calibration pulse and the measured data of 220kV in-service cable local-discharge, the validity of the proposed method for clustering multiple types of local-discharge sources is verified, which lays a foundation for the identification of non-local-discharge sources in in-service high-voltage cable local-discharge testing.
