Abstract:
Virtual Reality (VR) is the emerging field of digital environment simulation through specialized hardware such as a helmet, gloves or controllers which can be used to manipulate features of the environment. VR software covers a wide variety of applications, from educational media, games, to collaborative tools for professional teams. Over the past five to ten years, VR for software development has seen a great number of changes to the development process of creating, maintaining and improving cohesion between teams. Nowadays the society around us is changing and evolving at an accelerated rate. In this paper, we will discuss different software development methodologies for applications in VR software development, advancements within the field and answer challenges development teams currently face.
