Integration Of Desis With Multispectral Data For Geological Analysis Of Cuprite Hills From Nevada

This work integrates the recently available Visible to Near-Infrared hyperspectral data, DESIS, and ASTER multispectral data for geological analysis of a famous testing site at Cuprite hills in Nevada, United States. End member extraction techniques like Automatic target generation procedure and Vertex Component analysis, Image-based Kernel-Principal Component analysis and Minimum Noise Fraction, and Band ratios were estimated to segregate and map the absorption features responsible for phyllite, quartzite, limestone, dolomite, and kaolinite. The results show that the high spectral resolution of DESIS is responsible for accurate mineral features identification in the Visible to Near-Infrared wavelength range.
