A simple and small multiband reconfigurable slot antenna using an inset feed

This design of simple and small multiband reconfigurable antenna using an inset feed for wireless applications has been proposed. Intelligent and adaptive systems rely heavily on reconfigurable antennas. A square patch is designed with four I-shaped rectangular slot at patch for a multiband frequency in this suggested work. The antenna is small in size with dimension of 20x20 mm on substrate FR-4 epoxy resin. This antenna has a rectangular slot cut to ground and for the switching purpose PIN diode inserted in this slot. Ansoft HFSS software is used for the presented antenna simulation.
