Retrieval of Soil Moisture Using Hybrid Model for Sentinel 1 SAR Dataset

In this work we have a focus on the soil moisture estimation using Hybrid model from Sentinel 1 C- band Synthetic Aperture Radar data set. The empirical model derived by Oh and the modified Dubois Model for bare soil surface has been combined (Hybrid) implemented to this dataset. For better understanding, we choose different values of surface roughness and surface soil moisture with varying incidence angles from 31

. A series of field data were collected from different areas of Beed city (Maharashtra), India. We have analyzed the collected data to understand the relation between field parameters with SAR data (radar backscattering). We have applied the methods given by Oh in series of his research published between (1992–2002). Further, these results were used to find dielectric constant using the Hallikainen model and Topp’s model.
