Comparative Study between DPC and PDPC Controls Applied on Shunt Active Power Filter

This work present an analyze of direct power control (DPC) and predictive direct power control (PDPC). The proposed strategies apply for a shunt active power filter (SAPF) in order to obtain low current Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and to eliminate or to minimize the effects of the undesirable harmonics. The suggested techniques show excellent performance during steady and transient state conditions.
