Cone-Shaped Waveguide Slotted Antenna for Conformal Carrier Application

This paper presents a new type of integrated waveguide slotted antenna for conformal carrier application. Its overall structure is formed by bending a traditional waveguide slot antenna along a cone-shape. Such curved conformal structure renders the antenna to be used in different advanced carriers like aircrafts, missiles, fast trains. The proposed conformal waveguide slotted antenna operates in Ku-band with a pass-band of 13.49 ~17.06 GHz. The final simulation result proves that the S11 parameter of the antenna in the working frequency band is lower than -10 dB, and the far-field radiation pattern of the antenna has better directivity and higher gain.
