Flexible Job-Shop Scheduling Based on Improved Firefly Algorithm

Aiming at the flexible job-shop batch scheduling problem, with optimization objective of minimizing the weighted completion time of total orders, and the maximum workload of the machine tool, considering conditions of the materials, tools and fixtures replacement, a multi-objective flexible job-shop batch scheduling model is constructed. A discrete firefly algorithm is proposed, which redefines the location and distance of the fireflies with the production scheduling parameters such as machine tool allocation and process sequencing, improves the location update strategy, and achieves the solving of multi-objective flexible job-shop batch scheduling problem. Experiment on production scheduling of turbocharger housings was performed, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm was verified.
