Random vibration analysis of airborne electronic device with dry friction isolator

A three-spring model is used to model the dry friction isolator in the random vibration simulation of the airborne electronic device. This linearization method approximates the stiffness of the spring and the viscous damping ratio of the system by theoretical derivation and characteristic experiment results. The typical airborne electronic device and random vibration excitation are used to verify the effect of this method. The numerical results show that the existence of the isolator leads to larger installation space than hard connection. The value of the natural frequency of the mode which contains up and down movement equals to that of the dry friction isolator. The peak value transmissibility of the dry friction isolator is large and may cause damage of the isolator in the vibration durability test. This method has reference significance to simulate other kinds of isolators.
