Students’ Perception Regarding E-learning During Covid-19 at Bahrain Polytechnic

The purpose of this study is to investigate the students’ perception towards e-learning in the Content Management course during the Covid-19 pandemic. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted at Bahrain Polytechnic. The participants n=19 in the study were Bahrain Polytechnic students enrolled in the Content Management course, which is Level 6 (Year 1) course at the National Qualification Framework (NQF). The questionnaire was administered to the participants for data collection at the end of the semester. Descriptive statistics were applied for determining the perceptions of students towards e-learning where frequencies and percentages were computed for demographics. Overall, 97% of students have positive perceptions towards e-learning. Blended learning approach was adopted with synchronous and asynchronous teaching methodologies throughout the semester to increase students' interaction and task engagement. The overall results indicated positive student’s perception toward e-learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study can also be used as a source of information for educators, researchers or anybody interested in e-learning.
