Energy Management Based on Virtual Generation in DC Micro grid Using Solar Power

This project comes up with an experimental algorithm for energy manipulation in DC Micro grid with Renewable Energy Source (RES) and Energy Storage System (ESS). This system overwhelms the common problems with energy distribution regulating the bus voltage with the highest utilization of reference energy. At the reference, the extra energy usable above the average nominal power is considered as a virtual generation. New sources are created regarding virtual generation. The innovation of the introduced system is the operation of the imaginary generation using solar power. Imaginary generation depends on the source of the energy. This system gives the cost estimation, where by using this system, the overall cost compared to normal and virtual generation can be compared and analyzed. Here the system introduces the concept of clear day and cloudy day switching operation according to the climate which enhances the power generated through solar system. The introduced system reduces ESS charge/discharge cycles, thereby improving the life of ESS. Reverse shut-off reduces pressure, controls system bus voltage, reduces source energy fluctuations, and improves stability. The proposed management algorithm coincides with MATLAB modeling and is fixed in real-time.
