Design and Survey of Cellular Transmission between Wi-Fi and Wi-Max

Wireless Network are very important now a days. One of these wireless networks are WIFI and Wimax. Wimax uses the IEEE 802.16 set of standards and network that we want. WiFi was originated over 1983 and WiMax was introduced of over 10 years ago but it is still unknown to many people. Keeping this thing problem in mind that how to communicate over large distances we have choose this topic. WiMax is designed to create metropolitian area network. WiMax has the similar IEEE standards as that of WI-FI. Here have used 20 different nodes of WIFI and we have send WIMax parameter. We have designed a network based on the parameters of Wimax and then we will establish a communication between Wifi nodes in wireless communication. Wimax has many advantages such as high speed, larger coverage area,etc. Hence wireless networks existence of wifi and wimax will be performed through simulation on NS2 software and lastly we will discuss the merits of wimax over wifi.
