Kitchen Safety and Security System for Children

The problem that we intend to solve is that in today's trend, there has been an increased cultural shift from women spending their time at homes, started going to IT field in search of new opportunities. This leave the child unattended and it is considered to be a major factor in household related accidents like that of mishandling of sharp instruments like that of knives, gas cylinder leakage etc. Keeping this in mind, we have made a product that could be greatly scaled and can be extended to places like that of home security. We proposed this solution in an innovative way using Artix 35T Board. A keypad pin access is used to grant access to enter the kitchen which will be fast and more secure, which means only when then the person enters the correct password they can enter the kitchen, so this ensures the safety of the person. In addition to this various sensors such as temperature sensor, flame sensors have been added to the system to detect and alert the gas leakage and fire and also to monitor the temperature inside the kitchen. The system developed in this study can effectively reduce the loss from kitchen accidents.
