Optimization Of Machining Fixture Layout by Considering Two-Dimensional Workpiece Fixture Contact Regions

During the machining procedure, manufacturing fixtures are utilised to locate and limit the workpiece. The placement of fixturing devices such as clamps and locators is known as fixture design and layout. The material must be properly placed and fastened to ensure that it is made to the necessary measurements and tolerance. Cutting and clamping forces cause workpiece distortion, which is minimised to ensure machining precision. While machining, an optimal fixture design displays little distortion. The main aim of the work is coming with an optimal fixture plan that minimises the greatest elastic distortion of the work component induced by gripping and force of machining. It will be accomplished by picking the most appropriate amount of fixture pieces in the most appropriate positions. To determine the best location for the fixture arrangement the clamping positions are varied with the basic of 3-2-1 layout. In this project work, the workpiece fixture contact regions such as clamps and locators are treated as though they were in touch with a region, and stresses are imparted. ANSYS determines the workpiece distortion rates for the different fixture setups. The workpiece imperfections are discovered using harmonic modelling with a material elimination effect.
