Practical Work for Master2 Students: MMIC Distributed Amplifier Design for High Data Rate Receiver on GaAs-UMS Technology

This paper is dedicated to a 12-hour practical work developed for Master2-level students in electronics engineering. Having a first experience in MMIC design and being confronted to CAD process through component modelling and simulation at microwave and millimetre-wave frequencies are the main goals of this practical work. Understand the link between technology process and component modelling is also a targeted goal. Students follow this practical work at the end of the course “Circuits for RF and microwave systems”, which represents 1/3 of a 30-hour total study time. GaAs
