Universal Simulator of Eddy-current Flaw Detectors for Education

Training nondestructive testing specialists is a very important task. There are many different companies that produce a huge variety of non-destructive testing devices, including eddy-current testing flaw detectors. Educational centers should have a very large number of eddy-current flaw detectors. They are very expensive. To purchase them large economic investments are required. To teach a whole group of students, many units of each eddy-current flaw detector are required. To solve this problem, a simulator of eddy-current flaw detectors was developed and created. The purpose of the development was creation of universal device that could be connected via USB to a PC. It will be possible to select the interface of any required eddy-current flaw detector on the computer screen. If necessary, it will be possible to create additional interfaces for new flaw detectors. This does not require buying a huge variety of eddy-current flaw detectors. It will be enough to buy personal computers and connect to them universal simulator of eddy-current flaw detectors. This will lead to great money savings. Universal simulator of eddy-current flaw detectors cannot replace the devices themselves in real conditions, but this will be enough for educational purposes.
