Initial Design of Intelligent Decision-Making System for a Small Unmanned Airplane

The article presents implementation and analysis of fuzzy interference systems and neural networks to create an intelligent decision system for a small, unmanned aircraft with fixed wings (airplane). The design of the intelligent decision system focuses on determination of a battery failure during flight in a case study. This critical micro situation is manifested by unstable voltage of the power supply and sudden decrease in the provided current. The aim of the article is to design a system that can detect a failure in the batteries on a small, unmanned airplane, and at the same time the system would be able to correctly identify and optimize its flight configuration.
