Efficiency Analysis of Crystalline Solar Cells for different N and P layer thickness

Solar-cell efficiency means amount of energy in the form of sunlight that can be converted via photovoltaic into electricity by the solar cell. This paper involves the performance analysis of 1-dimensional crystalline solar cell using drift diffusion model. Efficiency (n) of the crystalline solar cell was observed using nanohub tool for the various values of the parameter. The parameter which was taken into consideration is p and n layer thicknesses. The proposed work is based on the maximum efficiency of 30.60, which was achieved for the range of p layer thickness varied from 10 micro meter to 15 micro meter and n layer thickness varied from 0.1 micro meter to 5 micro meter.
