A Novel 5-Shaped ACS-Fed MIMO Antenna for Wireless RF Harvesting

A unique dual band 5-shaped ACS fed multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna is presented in this study. Asymmetric coplanar strip (ACS) feeding technique is adopted in this antenna. The provided 5-shaped MIMO antenna is designed to work in the 2.45-2.55GHz and 4.5-7.1GHz frequency ranges. It is developed on FR4 substrate with dimensions 45.7×45.7×1.6 mm

, which is simulated in CST studio software. This proposed antenna significantly used for WiMAX(5.5GHz), LTE-Band 41(2.5GHz), ISM(5.8GHz), WLAN (5.2/5.8GHz) applications and devices working in these frequencies. The performance of this MIMO antenna can be measured by the diversity parameters, where it has obtained maximum gain of 3 dB at 2.45- 2.55GHz and 4 dB at 4.5-7.1GHz with ECC<0.1. The parameters like MEG, TARC and radiation patterns have been simulated and presented as well.
