A Secured Key Management Scheme for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks with Modified Montgomery Modular Arithmetic

Implementing factorization concept in Montgomery Modular Arithmetic improves the efficiency of standard modular arithmetic, which occurs in many cryptographic algorithms that are applied frequently for key management in Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET). In this paper Elliptic Curve Cryptography with Diffie Hellman key exchanging mechanism (ECC-DH) is implemented with Modified Montgomery Modular Arithmetic (MMECC-DH) for secure key management and performance enhancement of MANET. Metrics like Key calculation time, Key update time, Packet Delivery Radio, Average Power Consumption per Node, number of cycles per key exchange, Operations per second, processing time and Security Levels of ECC-DH, Montgomery Elliptic Curve Cryptography with Diffie Hellman key exchange (MECC-DH) and MMECC-DH methods are measured in Haswell and Sandy Bridge Architecture based processors.
