Performance study of Capacitor Clamped Multilevel Inverter fed Induction Motor Drive for Electric Vehicle Application

This paper focusses an improvised AC drive for Electric Vehicle (EV) application using induction motor. It is executed by a multilevel inverter by using three level space vector modulation techniques. Multilevel inverter has low distortion and total harmonic distortion of voltages at output related to other inverter topologies. SVM produces the required gate drive waveform and the inverter used is taken as solo element and can joint various switching states. In this paper a better technique is implemented for the electric vehicle control using induction motor drives with multilevel inverter system. The performance analysis of the proposed system has been done using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.
