Novel Power Decoupling Methods for Three-Port Triple-Active-Bridge Converters

Based on the control-to-output current small signal transfer function, it is obvious to find that the two output currents of a triple-active-bridge (TAB) converter are coupled, which poses a significant challenge to the controller design for a TAB. Therefore, in this paper, two novel power decoupling methods, i.e., an ideal decoupling approach and a simplified decoupling approach, are proposed for the TAB converter. The detailed design procedures are presented in this paper with effectiveness of the proposed methods are validated through simulation studies.
