Autonomous RLOS Operations and TBOs Manned Aircraft in Non-Segregated Air Space

This article presents the viability of combining autonomous RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) operations with trajectory-based operations of manned aircraft, simultaneously in non-segregated airspace.Technology has surpassed aeronautical regulations in terms of RPAS operations, however, the evident climate change has forced the operators of these systems to find solutions able to operate non-segregated airspaces since their operational advantages, their versatility and, to a large extent, its lower fuel consumption, as well as great capacity to carry out operations in all human activities, make their operation necessary in all air spaces.One of these solutions is described in this article as specifically how the operation of a NON-segregated airspace in Colombia where the essentiality to obtain the lowest fuel consumption of manned aircraft through TBO operations (trajectory based operations) [1] was achieved, including the guidelines of the CDO (continuous descend operations) document, [2] CCO (continuous climb operations) document, [3] and concepts such as Top of Descent (TOD) [4] and autonomous operations based on GNSS and RLOS (radio line of sight) in RPAS, [5] as well as Loss of C2 (command and control) contingency, engine loss contingency and illicit interference (interception of C2).
